Want to Visit?
The Real Church family would be delighted to see you! We put together this page to help you feel more comfortable and prepared for a first-time visit.
What Should I Expect?
We are often energetic and involved, so don't be surprised if you receive a lot of hugs - if you don't feel comfortable, you can always stick your hand out for a handshake instead. We like to let the Holy Spirit move in our services, so there is no set time for service to be over. Apostle Scott is known to be loud and tell things like they are, which can surprise some new visitors who are used to quiet and reserved churches. We are serious about God and desire Him in every area of life. We're not interested in church politics and welcome everyone to come in and join us for service. We do have a live band on Sunday mornings and most Sunday nights. Wednesday nights tend to be with lyric videos.
What Should I Wear?
There's really not a dress code. We don't belong to a denomination, so we don't have denominational rules about the length of your hair, makeup on your face, or whether you wear pants or skirts. Come in what as you feel comfortable in and is appropriate in a public setting. You don't have to dress up fancy or anything, but if you'd like to, you certainly can. Typically people tend to dress nicer on Sunday mornings and we have a general t-shirts and jeans vibe on weekday services, but you can always wear a t-shirt and jeans on Sunday morning, too or dress up on Wednesday - it's up to you!
What Time is Service?
We have Sunday School on Sundays starting at 8:45am. There is a class for new people called Body Builders, and if you want to become a member, you would start there. If you're not sure about the whole membership thing, you can either just come to main service at 10am or sit in Body Builders to get an idea of what we believe before going into main service. As stated before, our main service is at 10am. Please note that we do stream our Sunday morning service on Facebook live, so please refrain from trying to stream it yourself - having cell phones out recording the entire service can be very distracting. We also have a Sunday night service at 6pm (this is also the time that youth has their own service). Then our mid-week service is on Wednesdays at 7pm. Recently, we've been having the young people speak on those nights, but what we do on Wednesdays changes periodically. Then we also have Thursday night corporate prayer at 7pm.
If you have more questions, feel free to talk to the usher/greeter team when you arrive or send us a message here or on our Facebook page. The greeter team will give you a brochure with information and a paper to fill out your information if you'd like to give it. Should you choose to turn it into us, we'll give you a free history DVD about our church. And if you'd like, you can sign up for a tour of the church and receive a coupon for a free icecream sandwich! If you come to the tour, we'll feed you from our food truck, Hot Diggity Dogs.
